The Cathall Road estate was approved in 1966 and started in 1967: two tower blocks, Redwood and Hornbeam, with 100 flats each, and a lower block at 3 to 447 Cathall Road holding another 642. All three have since been demolished.

From the late 1990s the Waltham Forest Housing Action Trust rebuilt the estate as low-rise housing. Cathall North and Cathall South zones
Cathall Road divides two council parking zones on the council's controlled parking zone map (March 2026): Cathall North (CTN), which takes in the leisure centre and Lincoln Street, and Cathall South (CTS). Both are controlled Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6.30pm, and the council warns that single streets can keep other hours, so read the signs. The team needs somewhere to park, so tell us the street when you book.

Where is the work done in a small flat?
The cavity, fan cover and door glass are cleaned by hand in the kitchen, and the racks, trays and side runners come out and are soaked and cleaned separately. The oven is then put back together and heated, and you look inside before we leave.
Can you come at the weekend?
Yes, seven days, and a weekend costs the same as a weekday. Sunday is also outside the CTN and CTS hours.
