Cannon Street station was shut every Sunday from 1918 until 2015, which tells you what sort of place this is. Corporate tenants come and go on three and six month contracts, so the oven tends to get found by a checkout clerk rather than by anyone who cooked in it. We have never been called to an AGA in EC4.
Upper Thames Street is a red route
The A3211 runs Victoria Embankment, Blackfriars Underpass, Upper Thames Street and Lower Thames Street, and TfL enforces no stopping at any time along all of it, so pulling up outside a Dowgate flat off the main road is not an option. We park north of it and walk. Walbrook Wharf sits beside the station barging the City's rubbish down to Belvedere, and its gantry shuts the riverside walkway on and off through the day.

Can you clean an oven in a serviced apartment?
Yes, and it is most of our EC4 diary. Building managers here usually want the van registration in advance for the loading bay, so a day's notice helps.
Will the flat smell of chemicals afterwards?
No. The caustic work happens in the tank in the van. Indoors the cavity, fan cover and door glass are done by hand with non-caustic products, which matters in a studio where the bed is eight feet from the oven.
Do you charge extra for a City postcode?
No. A single oven is £77 in EC4 and £77 anywhere else. No call-out fee inside the North and South Circular.
