Camden Road was laid out as a dead-straight route after the 1824 Act, running up from Camden Town to York Way, and most of our work sits in the villas and terraces that lined it. The south-east side survives largely as it was built, stuccoed Italianate houses raised on semi-basements, and a lot of those have been split into flats with one integrated oven each. The plainer brick houses at the north-east end near Camden Square carry the same pattern. Round the back, on the Camden council estates in the old Cantelowes streets, the ovens are usually a slot-in single in a fitted kitchen.
Where the diary sits
Cantelowes Road, Camden Park Road, St Augustine's Road, St Paul's Crescent and the North and South Villas off Camden Square are the roads we see most. Camden Square Conservation Area covers a lot of that, which keeps the frontages period even where the insides are modern. A converted flat in a listed terrace still has a standard built-in oven, and it cleans the same as any other. The estate kitchens off Camden Road tend to be tighter, so we bring the racks straight out to the van rather than working around a small worktop.
How we clean it
The racks, shelves, trays and side runners lift out and soak in a heated tank in the van. The cavity, fan cover and door glass are degreased by hand indoors with non-caustic products, so there is no chemical smell after, and every oven is heat-tested before we sign it off. A single is about ninety minutes, a double nearer two hours. Where a converted flat has a built-in double, the double oven clean is £110.
Parking on the main road
Parking is a real operational fact on Camden Road. It carries heavy through-traffic and stretches of it are red route, so the van cannot sit on the main road itself, which means we drop into a side street like Cantelowes Road or Camden Park Road and carry the shelves in from there. Those side roads are inside Camden's controlled zone on weekdays, so a permit bay or pay-by-phone slot is the usual spot. All of NW1 is inside the ULEZ and our van is compliant. There is no call-out fee inside the North and South Circular.

Yes. This stretch has a lot of rental churn, so we do plenty of checkout cleans and leave a receipt for the deposit return.

We use a side street such as Cantelowes Road or Camden Park Road and carry the racks to the van from there. It adds a few minutes, not to the price.

Can you come on a weekend?
Seven days. Weekends are easier for parking on the side streets since the controlled hours are off, so they book up fast.
