For oven cleaning in Buckhurst Hill, London Oven Cleaners charge from £77, fixed on the phone, and you check the lit oven yourself before we pack up.
Buckhurst Hill got its station in 1856, when the Eastern Counties Railway took its line on from Woodford to Loughton, and by 1871 Chigwell parish had 1,080 houses, nearly all the increase being here.
Victorian streets round the station, interwar roads beyond
The Victoria County History, written in the 1950s, describes the town as an inner ring on both sides of the station, built from about 1850 to 1900, with later building to the north and south, mainly between the wars. Queens Road, which runs west from the station, was taken over by the parish in 1867. Buckhurst Hill became an urban district of its own in 1895.
Part of the Victorian area is now protected too. On 27 May 2025 Epping Forest District Council designated the St Johns area a conservation area, for its Victorian church and school, a historic pub, Victorian terraces and villas, veteran trees and surviving pockets of Epping Forest. It was the first new conservation area in the district since Hill Hall in December 1996.

Flats and lettings in Buckhurst Hill West
Buckhurst Hill West ward, which takes in Queens Road and St Johns and runs up to the station, had 2,922 households at the 2021 Census. 29.7% lived in a purpose-built flat and 29.3% in a semi, with 23.3% in a detached house and 12.5% in a terrace. 22.1% rented privately and only 2.6% rented socially.
When a let ends, the oven is part of the checkout. Letting agents can have the invoice in the agency's name, photos for the checkout file on request, and keys for an empty flat picked up by arrangement. In the flat itself, the racks, trays, side runners and fan cover come out and are soaked and cleaned separately; the cavity and door glass are degreased by hand indoors, and the door is split where its design allows.
Parking on Queens Road
An Essex County Council notice of July 2026 gives the existing restriction on a stretch of Queens Road's south side, by number 106, as pay and display, Monday to Saturday 10am to 5.30pm, two hours' maximum stay with no return within two hours, with 'Resident Permit Holders Only A' on the same hours. The notice proposes an access marking in place of 5.5 metres of it.
Off Queens Road the rules change from street to street; the plate at the end of your road is the one that counts.

Buckhurst Hill oven cleaning questions
Are Beech Lane and Knighton Lane in Buckhurst Hill?
Beech Lane is, and so is part of Knighton Lane; both are in Epping Forest district. The rest of Knighton Lane is in Redbridge's Monkhams ward, and our Monkhams page covers that side.
Can you do the hob at the same visit?
Yes: £28 for a gas hob or £23 for a ceramic one, on top of the oven price.
Who checks the oven at the end?
You do. The oven is reassembled and heated, and if a corner is not right when you inspect the lit oven, we put it right before we leave.

Said after the sign-off
Nice hardworking lads that always do a good job. We used them for our old flat when moving out and for the new one now, both jobs were done very professionally. My wife is very impressed with the results and would recommend them to friends and family.
Once again a great job guys, I will see you in a couple of months.
Very satisfied with the service. They were slightly late at first but I got a call from customer service to let me know, and it was all fine. The oven man, as he called himself, arrived and worked very hard for a couple of hours. My oven now looks like it has never been used.
