Brompton Road tube station closed in 1934 and its ox-blood surface building still stands on Cottage Place, behind the Oratory. South Kensington is the working station now. SW3 is outside the Congestion Charge zone, its western boundary running up Grosvenor Place and Park Lane; ULEZ applies. No call-out fee inside the North and South Circular, and no premium-area surcharge for an SW3 postcode, which is worth saying out loud in a borough where plenty of trades quietly add one.

Will the flat smell of chemicals afterwards?
No. The parts that soak go into a heated tank in the van. Indoors we degrease the cavity, fan cover and door glass by hand with non-caustic products, so there is nothing to air out.
Can you do a mansion flat with no lift?
Yes. Egerton Gardens and the older blocks off Brompton Road are full of stairs-only entrances. The carry takes longer, the price does not change.
Do you charge more in Brompton than in outer London?
No. A single oven is £77 in SW3 and £77 anywhere else we go. We quote on the phone and the number does not move on arrival.
How long will you be in the kitchen?
About ninety minutes for a single, two hours for a double. Add time if it is up three flights. We heat-test the oven before we go.
