Brentford End is the part of Brentford west of the River Brent. It was a hamlet of Isleworth parish, and the town probably spread over the bridge to it in the later Middle Ages; a chapel of All Angels stood on the south side of the bridge from about 1446.

Before the 19th century virtually the only buildings west of Field Lane were large houses scattered along the road. Hounslow's map of controlled parking zones puts Marlborough Road, Epworth Road, the southern end of Syon Lane and a short stretch of London Road beside it in its Marlborough Road area zone, controlled 9.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. The council says the map is guidance only and the signs in the street decide, so check the board at the zone entry.
