Between 1921 and 1931 Kingsbury's population went from 1,856 to 16,636, the largest rise of any district in north London, according to Brent's archive history of the area. From 1931 to 1933 about 1,000 houses a year went up there, many of them built by companies set up only to develop Kingsbury.

The developer Quintain said in September 2025 that it had delivered about 6,000 homes at Wembley Park; its Solar building has 487 homes, 383 of them build-to-rent. New flats like these usually have an integrated single oven, sometimes a pyrolytic one with a self-clean programme. Converted-house flats in the south of Brent

Further south, more houses have been split up. In Harlesden and Kensal Green ward, 37.4% of households lived in part of a converted house in 2021; in Willesden Green the figure was 33.0%, and in Kilburn 29.6%. Brent as a whole was 36.0% private renting, 23.5% social renting and 38.4% owner-occupied.

Prices are fixed on the phone before the visit and weekends cost the same as weekdays. No call-out fee inside the North and South Circular; outside it, any travel charge is quoted on the phone before you book.

Parking on Wembley Stadium event days

Up to 90,000 people can attend an event at Wembley Stadium, and on those days Brent runs a protective parking scheme around it. Inside the event day zone only residents and businesses with an event day permit may park. The restrictions run 8am to midnight on the main roads to the stadium and generally 10am to midnight on residential streets outside controlled parking zones. In the zones inside the scheme they run 8am to midnight, except zone SA (10am to midnight) and zone T, which is controlled at all hours.
