Brent Park is a retail area rather than a residential one. IKEA, a Tesco Extra and a McDonald's sit against the A406 North Circular, with Neasden Depot, the largest London Underground train depot, just to the north. Tesco bought the 43 acre site in 1978 and opened the superstore in 1985, calling it London's largest food store, and IKEA followed in 1988 with its second UK store, put up on the ground where the old Ascot Gas Water Heater factory had stood. The St Raphael's kitchens
St Raphael's Estate covers the land between the North Circular and the River Brent. It went up between 1967 and 1982 and runs to about 1,174 properties, the vast majority owned by Brent, in a low-density mix of four-storey maisonette blocks, low-rise flats, bungalows and terraced town-houses. Kitchens of that period mostly mean a freestanding cooker or one integrated oven under the worktop, so a single oven clean at £77 covers most of what gets booked here. Brent's redevelopment plan for the estate was cut back to infill and no homes are being knocked down, so those kitchens stay as they are. Getting a van to the door

Do you clean the oven here or take it away?
The oven stays put. Only the racks, shelves, trays and side runners leave the kitchen, and they go as far as the heated tank in the van.
Is it safe around children and pets?
The products used indoors on the cavity, fan cover and door glass are non-caustic. The caustic side never comes past the front door.
Can you do the hob and extractor on the same visit?
Yes. Hob is £23–28 depending on type, extractor hood £28. Doing them together saves a second appointment.
What if the oven does not work afterwards?
It is switched on and heat-tested before sign-off, so a fault shows up while we are still in your kitchen.
