Boston Manor Road was Boston Lane on the 1869 Ordnance Survey map and Boston Road by 1935, it runs roughly 2,830 metres from Half Acre out of Brentford to the north-west, and it once formed the parish boundary between Hanwell and Ealing. The lane came first.
Holden's tower marks the stop
The station opened on 1 May 1883 as Boston Road, under the District Railway, and was renamed on 11 December 1911. Charles Holden rebuilt it between 1932 and 1934, finishing on 25 March 1934, and the tall tower he put on it still works as the landmark you steer by. It was listed Grade II in March 2002, sits on the Piccadilly line between Osterley and Northfields, and took about 1.28 million entries and exits in 2025.
The house is the borough's only Jacobean one
Boston Manor House was built in 1623, is Grade I listed, and stands on the west side of the road in about 20 acres of park. It is the only Jacobean building in Hounslow. The conservation area around it takes in the Grand Union Canal, the River Brent, the old canal industry, and the former dock basin now a marina.
Two postcodes along one road
The station sits on the Hounslow and Ealing boundary and serves both the streets around the house and the southern part of Hanwell, which is why the Brentford end reads TW8 and the northern end reads W7. Brentford's stock is mostly two-storey terraces and suburban estates, with Edwardian semis along the road itself. Kitchens that size normally take a single at £77, and the price list holds whichever side of the boundary you are on.

Is Boston Manor in Hounslow or Ealing?
The station straddles the boundary. The house and park are in Hounslow, and the streets north towards Hanwell fall into Ealing.
Why was the station called Boston Road first?
Because the road was. It opened under that name in 1883 and took the Boston Manor name in December 1911, from the house.
Do you cover the Hanwell end as well?
Yes, W7 included. Prices do not change with the postcode, and there is no call-out fee inside the North and South Circular.
Can you add a microwave?
Yes, £22 while we are there. It is the cheapest thing on the list.
Said after the sign-off
Very satisfied with the service. They were slightly late at first but I got a call from customer service to let me know, and it was all fine. The oven man, as he called himself, arrived and worked very hard for a couple of hours. My oven now looks like it has never been used.
I would certainly recommend this service, very efficient and good value for money. The young man did a great job and even cleaned the kitchen floor. Thank you.
