Two kinds of kitchen, one ward
Blackwall and Cubitt Town is one Tower Hamlets ward on the east side of the Isle of Dogs, and the oven work splits between old and new. What we actually do
Shelves, trays and side runners lift out and soak in a heated dip tank in the van. Inside the flat, the cavity, fan cover and inner door glass are cleaned by hand with non-caustic products, so there is no chemical smell in a small waterside kitchen after. Where the door design allows we split it to reach the middle pane. Every oven is heat-tested and signed off before we go. A single takes about ninety minutes, a double nearer two hours.
