London Oven Cleaners clean ovens in Berrylands from £77. At the end the oven is put back together and heated, you look inside, and anything not right is put right before we go.
Berrylands station opened on 16 October 1933, and about 90% of what it cost was paid by the developers building houses on the farmland round it, who wanted buyers to be able to commute. Network Rail shut it on 11 May 2026 to replace its platforms, which were partly timber, and it reopened on 28 September.
The 1930s avenues off Raeburn Avenue
Kingston's borough character study says this was farmland until the early 1930s; Berrylands Farm, once Berry Lodge Farm, stood where Manor Crescent is now. Between the 1930s and the 1940s it filled up fast as a low-density suburb of long, formal avenues with wide grass verges. Most of the houses are 1930s semis, with some bungalows and detached houses, finished in brick, pebbledash or render with Tudor-style bays, pantiled roofs and leaded lights. HC Jones and Company, a major builder here and in Tolworth, put up houses through the 1920s, 30s and 40s. Rose Walk came later, in the 1940s: short terraces with tile-hung upper floors round a small landscaped roundabout.
The odd ones out are at the north end of Grand Avenue and on Elmbridge Avenue. In 1934 the Bell Property Trust built flat-roofed houses there in three designs, some in bare brick and some rendered white, and Modernism in Metroland counts them among the bigger groups of flat-roofed speculative houses in Greater London. The council study notes some original Crittall windows still in place.
The 2021 Census shows the pattern held. In Berrylands ward 38.0% of households lived in a semi and 16.7% in a detached house, against 12.6% detached across the borough, and 64.9% owned their home.
Ovens in a refitted 1930s kitchen
A house built in the 1930s has almost certainly had its kitchen refitted since, so the oven is whatever the last refit put in. These are the usual three.

Whichever it is, the racks, trays and side runners come out and are soaked and cleaned separately. The cavity, fan cover and door glass are done by hand in the kitchen, on dust sheets, and the door is split where its design allows.

Every appliance on the list has one fixed price, agreed when you call, so the figure is the same in a Grand Avenue semi as in a Raeburn Avenue bungalow.
Parking on Berrylands' verged avenues
Kingston's list of parking zones has no lettered zone around Raeburn Avenue, Grand Avenue or Alexandra Drive. Further north, Lower Marsh Lane is in Zone V (Villiers), controlled in the main Villiers area from 8.30am to 6.30pm on weekdays, and on the Surbiton side permit area DG takes in Brown's Road and parts of King Charles Road and Ewell Road. Read the plate on your own street all the same. A drive, or a space outside the house, helps the team to park.

Our double is under the worktop. Is it still priced as a double?
Yes. Two cavities make it a double at £110, whether it sits at eye level or below the worktop.
Does the oven need to be off before you arrive?
It needs to be cool, so do not use it that morning. A two-oven AGA is switched off the night before.
Can you come at the weekend?
Yes. We work seven days, and a Saturday or Sunday costs the same as a weekday.
