Almost all of Berrylands went up in the 1930s on the old Berrylands Farm, inter-war semis and a good number of detached houses that were sold to commuters when the station opened in 1933. The story behind that station is a local giveaway: local developers paid ninety per cent of the cost to make the new estate attractive to buyers. Those same houses are still the bulk of our work.

If the gas rings are as bad as the oven, you can add the hob clean at the same visit.

One row worth knowing is the cluster of Modernist Art Deco houses on the fork of Grand Avenue and Elmbridge Avenue, built as the Parkside estate in 1934. Beyond that it is the streets running off Alexandra Drive and the roads near Fishponds and Alexandra Park, where parking is on-street and rarely a problem for the van.
