Clydesdale Way, by the Travelodge in Lower Belvedere, is part of Belvedere Park, a development of 402 homes in blocks of flats that a local blog described in July 2015 as largely built, a five to ten minute walk from Belvedere station.
Flats and renting around Belvedere station
Belvedere Park is mostly blocks of flats. The census area around Clydesdale Way (Bexley 003B) had 1,045 households in 2021; 48.0% lived in a purpose-built flat and 39.5% rented privately, against 15.3% across Bexley as a whole. More is planned: between the railway and Bronze Age Way, on former industrial land, Aitch Group has outline permission (reported in July 2024) for up to 1,250 homes in blocks of two to eight storeys.
A flat of this age usually has an integrated oven in the kitchen units, sometimes a pyrolytic model. Either way the loose parts come out and are soaked and cleaned separately, and the cavity and glass are degreased by hand in the flat.
With four in ten households in that census area renting privately, end of tenancy cleans will be common. Letting agents can have the invoice in the agency's name, photos for the checkout file on request, and keys for an empty flat collected by arrangement.
The Victorian villas of Upper Belvedere
Up on the Abbey Ridge, about a mile and a half from the river, Bexley designated the Woolwich Road conservation area on 19 February 1992. The council's 2008 appraisal records Alexandra Terrace (13a to 19 Woolwich Road) on the 1860 Ordnance Survey map, and Gloucester Villas (eight homes) and Gloucester Road (six more) going up in the 1860s as large semi-detached villas in good-sized plots, built for wealthier Victorian families. Belvedere ward as a whole is a mix: 32.5% of its 6,835 households lived in purpose-built flats in 2021, 31.2% in terraces and 23.9% in semis.

Parking in Belvedere
Bexley's list of controlled parking roads has no zone around Belvedere station, and Clydesdale Way, Nuxley Road, Gloucester Road and Heron Hill are not on it (checked October 2026). In Lower Belvedere, the council's town-centre page lists free parking on Picardy Street and outside Asda and B&Q. In the Woolwich Road conservation area the council's 2008 appraisal says further crossovers over the grass verges will be resisted. Further west, towards Abbey Wood, Woolwich Road Nos. 103 to 279 and 226 to 332 are in Bexley's West Heath trial parking zone, Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm from 1 December 2025. Bexley's page, updated on 23 August 2026, says the final decision will be made at any time between 2 June 2026 and 1 June 2027. Not on Bexley's current list of controlled parking roads, which names zones at Abbey Wood and Erith stations but none at Belvedere. Signs on the street still apply.
My new flat has a pyrolytic oven. Does it need a professional clean?
The self-clean deals with the inside of the cavity. Racks, side runners and the door glass are usually what it misses, and those are cleaned the same way as on any other oven.
Can you come at the weekend?
Yes, seven days a week, and a Saturday or Sunday visit is charged at the weekday price.
