Beckton Park DLR sits by the north quay of the Royal Albert Dock and faces the open space that runs into the South Beckton housing, and that is roughly where our E6 diary lives. Most of it is the low-rise 1980s and 1990s docklands housing off Tollgate Road and Stansfeld Road, plus the newer flats at Beckton Parkside on Newham Way. Beckton was built on reclaimed gasworks land in the docklands push, so the stock is younger than most of east London and the kitchens are compact. Racks, shelves, trays and the side runners lift out and soak in the heated tank in the van. We heat-test the oven and sign it off before we go, and a single runs about ninety minutes.
The terraced and semi-detached homes towards Cyprus and Gallions Reach more often have a standalone cooker with a separate grill, which takes a full strip.

Parking near the park
Access here is easier than in the towers further west, though the cul-de-sac layouts off Tollgate Road can put the van a walk from the door, so tell us the block when you book because the tank ferries in from the van. E6 is inside the ULEZ and our vans meet the standard.
