Addlestone One, the rebuilt town centre on Station Road, has six blocks of flats and was built by Runnymede Borough Council in 2017 and 2018. Fire safety consultants found in 2021 that the cladding on the blocks should be replaced. The council met the cost and its contractor started in December 2022. The work finished two months ahead of plan, in autumn 2023, and the council said no individual flat owners had been charged.
Flats in the middle of Addlestone
Most homes near the town centre are flats. In the census area around Market Street, Hazeldene and Crockford Park Road (Runnymede 009A), 65.3% of the 956 households lived in a purpose-built block of flats in 2021, against 19.9% across Runnymede, and 28.4% rented from the council. Also on Station Road, the old Blériot aircraft works of 1917, where Weymann later built buses including the prototype Routemaster, stood derelict by 2000; it is now Aviator Park, and some of its offices have been turned into flats.
A modern flat usually has a built-in single under the worktop, sometimes a double in a tall housing, and a hood over the hob. Stairs and lifts do not change the job: dust sheets go down, the racks and trays come out and are soaked and cleaned separately, and the cavity, fan cover and door glass are degreased by hand in the kitchen. Caxton Avenue conservation area
On 1 October 2023 Runnymede designated the Caxton Avenue conservation area, covering Caxton Avenue and a section of Coombelands Lane. Its 26 properties are the first phase of a garden village for print workers that was planned much larger and never finished; they appear on the 1934 map. By 1982 a property company, Mountview Estates, held the roads, amenity land and rent-controlled homes of Caxton Avenue and Chaucer Way, housing current and former print workers. The print company had set up a housing association in 1955, and Chaucer Way was laid out in 1956 with 30 semi-detached houses. Printing at Coombelands ended after 65 years, and permission was granted in 1998 for the Redwoods estate of 50 homes on the works site.

Parking near Station Road and Middlesex Court
Addlestone One has its own multi-storey car park. Out on the streets, Surrey County Council's 2025 parking review decided in October 2025 to add double yellow lines in Bush Close, as far as the parking area by Middlesex Court, to keep the pavement clear and the parking bays reachable; nobody objected.
